The compute component
The plan describes identical instances. Compute cost equals the number of instances multiplied by hours per month and the hourly instance price. The vCPU and memory values record the chosen instance size; they do not generate an automatic price.
Storage, backups and transfer
Primary storage cost equals instances multiplied by storage per instance and the per-GB monthly rate. Backup storage is entered as a total for the whole plan, then multiplied by its rate. Outbound transfer is also a plan total and uses the billable quantity after any provider allowance.
What is outside the model
Tax, operating system or application licences, support charges, public addresses, storage I/O, request charges, discount commitments and provider minimum charges are excluded. Some providers bundle storage or transfer with compute; set the separate rate to zero to avoid counting it twice.
Units and timing
All financial amounts use USD. Resource values use the GB unit shown by your quote; keep the units consistent rather than mixing GB and GiB. The default 730 hours is a planning convention, not the exact length of every calendar month. You can enter up to 744 hours.
What the result means
A result is a monthly estimate using your inputs, not workload sizing, a quotation or confirmation of availability. The low and high transfer comparison changes only billable transfer volume, leaving every other input fixed. Save or export the assumptions with the total.
